ebooks.express is a digital book platform run jointly, as partners in the business, by Stream Builders (Brazilian company registration CNPJ 68.211.356/0001-08) and the publisher Editora Erendorn (CNPJ 62.956.083/0001-44).

2. What the platform offers

The platform lets you read digital books in the browser and in the apps, and lets publishers and brands run their own stores, each on its own domain and with its own identity.

Each store is responsible for its own catalog, prices and customer service for the titles it sells, under its contracts with the publishers it distributes.

3. Account

Signing in is passwordless: by a one-time code sent to your email or by passkey. Keep access to your email and your devices secure.

Teenagers may use the platform from age 16, with the account created by a parent or legal guardian and the consent form signed. Below that age, accounts are not accepted.

4. Purchases and payment

Payment always happens on the page of the chosen payment provider. Your card details never pass through the platform and are not kept by it.

When you buy a digital book, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to read it, not ownership of a file or of a physical copy.

Withdrawal rights and other guarantees follow Brazilian consumer law and the law of the buyer's country.

5. Permitted use

Books are for personal use. Copying, redistributing, reselling, removing the watermark or trying to circumvent content protection is not allowed.

Breaking these rules may lead to account suspension, without prejudice to any applicable legal action.

6. Copyright

The works belong to their authors and publishers. If you believe any content infringes a copyright, write to contact@ebooks.express identifying the work and the right infringed.

7. Changes and governing law

These terms may change; the version in force is always the one on this page, dated at the top. Important changes will be announced before they take effect.

Brazilian law applies. The courts of the consumer's place of residence have jurisdiction.

1. Who takes care of your data

The data controllers are the partners in the platform, Stream Builders (CNPJ 68.211.356/0001-08) and Editora Erendorn (CNPJ 62.956.083/0001-44). For any matter about your data, including with the data protection officer, write to contact@ebooks.express.

We follow Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and, for children and teenagers, the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA Digital).

2. What data we use

Account: email, name and date of birth (to check age and, where applicable, guardian consent).

Purchases: the record of each order. Payment details stay with the payment provider, not with the platform.

Reading: the books in your library, progress, highlights and the devices used.

Security: IP address and technical access logs, kept for as long as the law requires.

3. What we use it for

To keep your account, deliver the books you bought, sync reading across devices, meet legal and tax obligations and protect the platform against fraud and abuse.

4. What we don't do

We don't sell data, we don't build advertising profiles and we don't use third-party tracking scripts on our pages.

5. Cookies

We only use necessary cookies: the session cookie, when you sign in, and ebx_idioma, which keeps your chosen language for one year. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

6. Who we share it with

With the payment provider of the purchase; with the store and the publisher of the book bought, only what is needed for payouts and sales reports; and with the infrastructure providers that host and deliver the platform, under contract and confidentiality.

Part of this infrastructure may be outside Brazil; in those cases, the transfer follows LGPD rules.

7. Children and teenagers

Accounts of people under 18 get the most protective privacy level by default, with no profiling and no features that encourage compulsive use, and only exist when created and authorized by a parent or guardian.

8. How long we keep it

While the account exists and, after that, for as long as the law requires (for example, tax and access records). Otherwise, data is deleted.

9. Your rights

You can ask for access, correction, portability and deletion of your data, and withdraw consent, in your account area or by email to contact@ebooks.express. You can also complain to Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).

10. Security

Data travels encrypted, sensitive personal data is stored encrypted and each store's data is isolated from the others.

Stores on the domains of partner publishers and brands use ebooks.express technology but are operated by those brands, which are responsible for their own catalog, prices and customer service.

Trademarks and content

The trademarks, logos and works shown belong to their respective owners. Nothing on this platform grants a license to them beyond what these terms provide.
